Cricket Life Stages

Cricket Eggs hatch after approx. 2 weeks and should be incubated at 85 degrees.

Pinhead Crickets, or hatchlings, are extremely tiny and dehydrate quickly. Be sure to keep their moisture source replenished at all times. Young crickets can be kept at 75 - 85 degrees for the first 2 weeks, after which 70 - 75 degrees is best to slow down their growth and prolong life.

Adult Crickets A crickets life span is a mere 6 weeks. A female cricket will lay 5 - 10 eggs/day up to 100 in her lifetime, so if you plan to breed your crickets, begin by 3 or 4 weeks of age. Breeders should be kept at 85 degrees.
